Vibes 2006 was moving towards its end. Two days had passed like a couple of moments. Only a few hours were left. All events, contests and the prize distribution were over The audience readied themselves for an electric performance from the guest Bangla rock band.
Abhilasha had prepared a ‘style finale’ to Vibes 2006.
“We have some special plans for our performance here, but I’m not going to divulge them now. You’ll get to see when we perform” said Ayan, the lead guitarist of Abhilasha before their show.
And boy, did they rock! Very few people remained seated while Abhilasha performed. Along with their popular tracks, they got the audience dancing to popular Gautam Chattopadhyay numbers like “Dhoro haal sokto hathe”, “Tara Rao Koto Alok Barsho Dure” and “Telephone”.
The mind-blowing performance by the band charged up everybody present. Kutii also sang “Sei Tumi” which added a romantic touch to this very memorable evening.
Again, Abhilasha’s song “Tumi chhara ke ache bolo amar” boosted up the exhausted audience once again.
Salt Lake stadium was rocking! The most-coveted moments of Vibes were about to end. Yes, it was the best way to conclude The Statesman Voices Inter-school Festival Vibes 2006.
